FAQ

  • I offer a variety of ways to purchase! The best way to stay up to date is to follow me on Instagram and subscribe to my newsletter.

I typically schedule small batch releases where work will become available on a specific day/time and launched via my website.

You can also check my website for available made-to-order or pre-order pieces!

  • Typically, no. At this time in my creative journey I’ve decided to discontinue taking on custom orders as I have to consider what is best for my business, my time, and my creative workflow. I simply do not have the bandwidth for all of it, I hope you understand.

However, if/when I do have bandwidth to take on some customs I will release a limited amount of slots. These will be announced first to my newsletter subscribers when they are available!

  • Yes, Laska pieces still currently ship worldwide.

However, because global trade policies and tariffs are changing frequently, especially in the U.S., I’m unable to predict or control what fees may be applied once your package reaches your country.

International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, tariffs, or customs fees depending on your country’s regulations.

These charges are not included in your order total and are the responsibility of the buyer.

By placing an international order, you acknowledge that:

    • Customs fees may apply upon delivery

    • Shipping times may be extended due to inspections or policy changes

    • I cannot mark packages as “gift” or alter declared value

    • If a package is refused due to customs charges, original shipping costs are non-refundable.

Thank you for understanding that these policies are outside the control of small, independent makers!

  • Ugh, I feel you and I know this can be really frustrating. Here are some tips for snagging something:

    • Log onto the website a few minutes before the release and make sure you’re on the “shop” page.

    • Keep refreshing when the release time hits as sometimes it takes a minute for everything to load.

    • Have your payment info ready to go so you can quickly input your info (if it’s not already autosaved on your computer).

    • If you’ve got your eye on something specific, best to get that added to your cart and checkout right away! Then you can go back and keep browsing. Putting something in your cart DOES NOT reserve it, you have to fully complete the transaction.

And if you missed something this round, please know that I’m truly sorry and I hope you don’t give up!

  • No, I do not do any resizing or repair any jewelry that is not my own.

  • My work generally ranges from $150-$375

  • I am always flattered when I get asked this question because I too still feel like such a student to this craft. I am primarily self-taught myself, having utilized the endless online resources for learning! But I know starting out can be daunting so here is a compiled list of my suggestions:

    • Do a google search on local metalsmithing classes in your surrounding area. You might be surprised what you find! More and more local classes/workshops are popping up within this community.

    • Several in-person workshops to check out include: BoMA, Dirt Road Wares, Wild Heart Wares

    • Andrew Berry’s AtTheBench YouTube channel is one of my favorites! I learned so much here.

    • Lucy Walker also has an incredible library of classes and posts tons of helpful tips and info on her socials.

    • The Metalsmith Society is loaded with online resources and Corkie also hosts a podcast.

Hope this helps! Reach out with any questions, I always love helping and offering advice.

  • A sure-fire way to reach me is through the “Contact” page on my website. Instagram DM’s get lost so easily and there is a good chance I won’t see it or respond to it.

  • Please use my contact page to inquire and we can chat! I continue to be very intentional and selective with my time and partnership opportunities but I’m always open to exploring this space if you have an idea!

  • Primarily, the metal I work with is sterling silver which is 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. I also work with fine silver, which is 99.9% pure silver.

The stones I work with are typically a variety of natural American turquoise that are sourced from small-scale lapidary artists in the US.

  • The short answer…maybe. This is dependent on what the piece is. For example, if you lost just one earring, I cannot guarantee that I would have a similar or matching stone anymore or that I would have the same materials used. And since everything is handmade, no two pieces are the same. Rings and other single item pieces would be easier to replace/remake. Rest assured I will do my best to work with you but replacing what is lost is not guaranteed.

Replaced/remake items would still be full-price and you would be responsible for shipping.

  • While this is rare, if a piece arrives already damaged when opened, I will make it right! We will work together on a case-by-case basis depending on whether the piece needs to be sent back to me or I need to replace it altogether. You will need to cover shipping to get it back to me and I will cover cost to return it.

  • If you would like to return your Laska piece, you will have 10 days to do so as long as the item is in tact and in the condition in which it arrived. A refund will be issued (minus shipping cost) once the item is received and examined. The customer will be responsible for return shipping!

  • Yes! At checkout you can select “Afterpay” and do 4 interest-free payments.
